The Network Management and Architecture team of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department for smart cities has published the mobile application “Estia Sense Campus”, part of the internal project “Sense-Campus”, at https://estia.sense-campus.gr/.
The application provides information about the daily (and weekly/monthly) menu of the club’s restaurant in Rio and, more importantly, live data on the restaurant’s waiting queue and occupancy. This data is derived from analyzing traffic load on the club’s local roaming Wi-Fi network, as well as from (optional) traffic data within the application itself. Additionally, a traffic forecast for the next 2 hours is provided to help you plan your restaurant visits more effectively.
