Το Γενικό Σεμινάριο του Τμήματος συνεχίζεται μεθαύριο, Τετάρτη 05/03/24, με την δεύτερη ομιλία του Εαρινού εξαμήνου, ώρα 14:00 – 15:00 στην αίθουσα 342. Η ομιλία θα γίνει στα αγγλικά. Τα στοιχεία της ομιλίας έχουν ως εξής:

Περίληψη: In recent years, Morier-Genous and Ovsienko introduced deformations of rational and real numbers with surprising properties including positivity and convergence. I’ll survey their work from a perspective using hyperbolic geometry and the symmetry of the modular group. The infinitesimal symmetries of these objects lead to a deformation of the Lie algebra sl(2).
